Ocean Grove Park is a privately owned open space ( 2.6 hectares) owned by Trust for Nature and managed by the local Ocean Grove Park Committee Inc. under a formal Agreement.

The Park is located in central Ocean Grove, close to Ocean Grove main shopping precinct and is a passive recreation area. It is used extensively by the local community for informal & formal activities, ie Farmers Markets, Carols by Candlelight, Car Boot Sales etc. Also the Pavilion ( the Park community meeting space)  is used extensively by community groups, exercise groups and private functions such as Children’s birthday parties.

The Park’s original Master Plan was developed in 2001. All works in that Master Plan were completed in 2021. With the help of the Benefit Geelong grant, the Committee will develop a new Master Plan to guide the development and maintenance of the Park for the next 20 years to ensure that the park is current and relevant to the community’s aspirations and needs.

The Master Plan will be developed in consultation with community stakeholders, including key community organisations, local residents, local schools and Park users as well as the local indigenous community.
It is the Committee’s intention to engage independent, experienced consultants to undertake the design of the Master Plan. The Consultant would also facilitate community consultation with a broad range of interested community members.
