St John Ambulance Victoria Barwon Division of first aid responders is dedicated to providing high quality and lifesaving first aid support to members of the community attending sporting, community or entertainment events.
It is essential that their teams are provided the necessary equipment required to support their training and the delivery of first aid.
This grant will be used to purchase essential lifesaving equipment to support the work of the 67 adult and youth Volunteers at the Barwon Division. 
A replacement Defibrillators is needed to increase the capacity for the volunteers when deployed at community events. By having this life saving equipment, this will allow us to achieve the following outcomes:
1. Increased safety for local residents
2. Enhance quality of care provided
3. Increased volunteer engagement.

A defibrillator is an essential item of first aid equipment used by our volunteers in delivering CPR to any member of the community experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. The current defibrillator being used by the division is nearing end of the life. It is becoming expensive, and difficult to source, replacement pads and batteries for the model they are using. As such, it is essential that a new defibrillator is purchased to support their work.to help other interested parties understand and adopt the model.
