The Friends of Ocean Grove Nature Reserve Inc are a group of dedicated volunteers with a shared passion for preserving and enhancing the flora and fauna at the reserve.

The $10,000 Benefit Geelong grant will be used for the fit-out of the repurposed building including to provide fixed seating, tables and information panels to be attached to the internal walls.

The existing Information Centre building was built in 1981. The FOGNR project plans provide a refit and upgrade, creating an open shelter with under cover tables and seating.

It will also create space for the FOGNR volunteers to hold community engagement workshops to foster community education and awareness about the rich biodiversity of the reserve flora and the fauna to which it is essential, as well as a space in which our committee can meet and further engage with the greater Geelong and Bellarine community.
